Transportation and Aging in Place

Last night I had the chance to sit on a panel discussion for the the Western and Central Virginia chapter of the Aging in Place Council.  The discussion was preceded by a keynote presentation from Dr. Nancy Brossoie, a research associate with the Virginia Tech Center for Gerontology.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Bike Mob

You and your bicycle are invited to join the RIDE Solutions Bike Mob at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, downtown Roanoke. Get your bike and yourself decked out in green and ride with us to celebrating cycling in the Roanoke Valley.

If you don’t have much green, don’t worry: Everyone who rides will be given an official RIDE Solutions superhero cape (in green, of course).

Dress wild, bring out your craziest bike, and come with the whole family. The only requirement is that you dress in green and promise to have a great time.

Parade start time is 11. Those riding with us will need to gather at our starting location earlier. Watch our Facebook event page for time and location details on the day of the parade.
