It took a bit, but our Fallon Park bikeshare station is now up and running and serving Roanoke’s Southeast neighborhoods.
You and your bicycle are invited to join the RIDE Solutions Bike Mob at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, downtown Roanoke. Get your bike and yourself decked out in green and ride with us to celebrating cycling in the Roanoke Valley.
If you don’t have much green, don’t worry: Everyone who rides will be given an official RIDE Solutions superhero cape (in green, of course).
Dress wild, bring out your craziest bike, and come with the whole family. The only requirement is that you dress in green and promise to have a great time.
Parade start time is 11. Those riding with us will need to gather at our starting location earlier. Watch our Facebook event page for time and location details on the day of the parade.
The performance of a lifetime — literally.

The CenterPieces Reading Series is a joint venture by Mill Mountain Theatre and the Playwright’s Lab at Hollins University to bring new plays and new audiences together over lunch.
The series is generously underwritten by sponsors, including RIDE Solutions, Mill Mountain Theatre, 101.5 the Valley’s Music Place and Hollins University.
Then, hang around downtown while you leave your bike in the capable hands of our free bike valet service in the Market Plaza.
Parade starts at 11:00, but we will gather beforehand at a location TBD. Watch this space for details about where and what time to meet.
Costumes and decorated bikes highly encouraged.
In the past I’ve talked a good game about how easy it is to ride in the winter, but in the past I’ve wussed out when it comes to breaking the bike out on a cold December morning. This year, I’m committing to change.
