We’re gearing up for Bike Month and ready to get more riding in. Most people who’ve been biking for any amount of time has a pile of random parts, accessories, and whatchamacallits stowed away. This is your opportunity to unload some of your stash and perhaps get a great deal on something that will actually do you some good!
Here’s how it will go:
Those who wish to sell/trade should register at the link provided in the “tickets” section of this event. Give us an idea of what you’ll be bringing so we know how much space you’ll need. Please arrive at 10:30 to get your items set up. Downshift will provide some tables for sellers on a first come, first served basis. Not interested in selling but totally game to go treasure hunting? Just show up and have fun!
We’ll be hosting the swap one block from Downshift at the Family Service of Roanoke Valley parking garage.
Roanoke Mountain Adventures will have many of their bicycle-related consignment items for sale at the Bike Swap!
We’ll also have a mobile repair station and parts to give your bike a “Bike Month Ready” assessment. Depending on what your bike needs we may even be able to fix it up right on the spot! You’ll be ready to ride for the RIDE Solutions Ride Smart Challenge.
Any donations from the mobile repair station will be given to Family Service of Roanoke Valley‘s PedalUp program! PedalUp is a project to get bikes in the hands of kids for therapeutic purposes.
