Applications will be reviewed and accepted based on demonstrated need in the application, the applicant’s address, the proposed location of the bike rack within the applicant’s address, and capacity for applicant to install the bike rack (including transporting from storage location). As stated above, part of the goal of the program is to equitably distribute bike racks throughout the FBR/RVARC service area.
FBR/RVARC are making the bike racks free for public institutions and community-based organizations. For private entities, the cost of the bike rack will be negotiated based on the proposed location, planned use, and demonstrated need. Bike rack installation costs, and logistics are the responsibility of receiving organizations, whether public, non-profit, or private.
