RIDE Solutions was excited to host the 3rd Annual Holiday Lights Tour – Grandin Village on Wednesday, December 11th, in Roanoke, VA. This year, over 115 people join us for the ride, which is is a great way to see some of the best holiday lights Roanoke has to offer. This short, family friendly, ride was filled with cyclists decked out in their best holiday gear, bikes decorated with as many holiday decorations as possible, and some great holiday house decorations.
The ride left from the Roanoke Co+op in Grandin Village and toured the lights from Arlington Avenue to Westover Avenue and everything in between. At the end of the ride, all riders were treated to hot chocolate and hot cider courtesy of the Roanoke Co+op.
“I love the holiday lights ride. It is so fun to see all the lights in a huge gang of decked out cyclists. It is one of my favorite holiday activities” says local cyclist and Grandin area resident Becky McKimmy.
The annual Holiday Lights Tour – Grandin Village takes place every year on the second Wednesday in December, and each year the amount of attendees has grown significantly. If you have not joined us before, be sure to get us on your calendar early and be ready to show your holiday spirit!
Thank you to WSLS talking to us about the event ahead of time, and Roanoke Times Photographer, Heather Rousseau, got some great photos of the ride.
