Win an iPod Touch!

We've upped the ante on this year's
Clean Commute Pledge. Take the pledge to bike, bus, carpool, walk or telecommute one or more Fridays in May, and you'll get a chance to win a new 32MB iPod Touch.
Share songs with your carpoolers, read an e-book on the bus, or use
Google bike routing on the fly in your favorite wifi zone.

Every Friday you pledge to use a clean mode gives you one entry into the drawing, so
take the pledge to commute clean, Fridays in May.

Air pollution effects the health and quality of life of everyone in the Roanoke region. As summer approaches, so does ozone season, when car exhaust and heat can combine to form heavy amounts of unhealthy ground-level ozone.
Do your part to improve our air by taking the pledge to Commute Clean, Fridays in May! Pick one Friday to try an clean commute mode, or challenge yourself to carpool, bike, bus, walk, or telecommute every Friday. Mix and match modes to see what best fits your schedyle.
Pledge to use a clean commute option - biking, walking, carpooling or public transit - and be eligible for great prizes including bike gear, a Giant Boulder Bike from Cardinal Bicycle, monthly passes on SmartWay and Valley Metro buses, gift certificates, coffee, and more!
Bike and walk along the Roanoke Valley's many trails and bicycle accommodations. And don't forget,
May is Bike Month so watch for a full slate of rides and events!
